We are a family business. We have been caring for families across Greater Los Angeles for more than fifteen years — as Excellent Companion Home Care until 2015, and as Excellent Caretakers since. Good care is a relationship. It should also rest on the boring, checkable things that protect your family if something goes wrong.
Licensed by the State of California
Home Care Organization licence #194700102, issued by the California Department of Social Services. You can verify it with the state.
Bonded and insured
Cover is in place for the work our caregivers do in your home, so you are not carrying that risk yourself.
Workers' compensation on every caregiver
Our caregivers are our employees, not independent contractors. If a caregiver is hurt while working in your home, that is covered by our workers' compensation — not by you.
Every caregiver screened before they start
Background checks, verification against the state Home Care Aide registry, and reference checks — completed before anyone is matched with your family.
A question worth asking any agency: are the caregivers employees, or independent contractors? Agencies and registries that place contractors generally carry no workers' compensation for them. If someone is injured in your home, that liability can land on the family. Ask who carries the cover before you sign anything.
